So you have had your abstract accepted for a poster at the BSC conference.. What next?
We have produced a poster template with some guidance to try and help you get started. You do not have to use this and we encourage you to be as creative as possible. However, the power point slides are set to the correct size for the orientation so please make use of them if you feel this will benefit you. You can download these from this link:
The poster size requirement is A1 Landscape or Portrait. When you are happy with your edited poster, save the file as a PDF and send to print at your university print shop. PLEASE NOTE: There will be no facilities to print your poster at the conference. You need to organise this yourself and bring it with you.
Poster day is Thursday 6th July, go to the reception desk from 8AM where you will be given your assigned number slot. Here your poster will hang all day, with a poster session 14:30-15:00 (please stand by your poster at this time to answer any questions).
When you save your poster as a PDF to print, can you please save a JPEG copy too and email it to me email@example.com prior to the conference for our postgrad virtual poster gallery. This will be posted on the blog on the day of the conference too.
Here are some useful links to more general blogs about how to produce an effective academic poster. If you have produced a poster before and would like to share it to helpfully inspire others, please comment below.
